This release focuses on making day-to-day work faster and easier. You’ll see major improvements across Financials, invoicing, and job workflows, plus a new library of short Feature Spotlight videos to help your team learn quickly. We also tightened up mobile experiences and fixed a couple of issues in estimates and time tracking.
New
- Feature Spotlight videos are now available. You can watch short 3–5 minute demos and tutorials across most areas of SimplySub to help your team ramp up faster. You can view all our featured spotlight videos here.
- Job-level profitability is now available in Financials. See estimated profit for each job alongside related estimates, invoices, purchase orders, payments, and expenses on one unified screen.
- Quick add is now available on invoices. Create new customers and new jobs directly from the invoice screen, so you can finish an invoice in one smooth workflow.
- GPS battery status is easier to read. Battery labels now change color as battery levels drop, helping you spot low-battery trackers faster.
- GPS Tracking now shows “Assigned To.” You can see who a vehicle is assigned to at a glance from the GPS tracking screen.
Improved
- A redesigned “Add to Job” menu. Options are now grouped more clearly with improved spacing, making common job actions quicker to access.
- Expenses are now easier to find in Financials. Job expenses have been moved into the Financials area so your team doesn’t have to bounce between multiple places.
- Estimates and invoices created from a job now auto-link. When you create an estimate or invoice from a job record, it will automatically be tied to that job.
- Job file upload on mobile is clearer. The upload screen is easier to understand, helping crews successfully upload photos and documents to job records.
- Equipment logging now protects against unsaved changes. You’ll see confirmation messages when removing logs and warnings when navigating away with unsaved work.
- Faster job search from the top nav. The search box auto-focuses so you can start typing immediately without an extra click.
- Billable Work Summary is easier to scan. Work Logged action sections now auto-expand to help you find key details faster.
- Notes now have stronger audit visibility. Logs capture note content before and after updates, improving accountability in audit logs across key records.
- Financials dashboard KPI tiles are now clickable. Click a KPI to drill into the relevant details more quickly.
- Expense editing on mobile is smoother. The mobile interface for managing expenses has been refined to make updates easier on the go.
Fixed
- Progress invoices can be created from the estimates dashboard again. This resolves an issue that prevented creating a progress invoice from that view.
- iOS punch edits are more reliable. Fixed a rare issue that prevented some users from editing an existing punch record.
Heads Up
- “Commerce” has been renamed to “Financials.” If you’re looking for Commerce, you’ll now find those menus and tabs under Financials.
