This release is packed with new tools designed to make SimplySub even more useful in the office and in the field. We’ve expanded communication, task management, equipment tracking, reporting, job management, and mobile workflows, while also making several existing areas faster and easier to use.

New

• 🎉 Two-Way Text Messaging. SimplySub now includes two-way text messaging, giving you a dedicated place to communicate with customers by text directly inside SimplySub. You can start a conversation with a customer from SimplySub, and when they reply, their response comes directly back into your SimplySub text message inbox. From there, you can continue the conversation without switching between SimplySub and your phone. This makes it easier to keep customer communication together, respond quickly, and maintain a clearer record of conversations happening around your work.

• Sheets are now available throughout SimplySub. Create simple spreadsheet-style grids directly inside jobs, customers, vehicles, equipment, contractors, suppliers, and employee records. Sheets are useful for takeoff measurements, material quantities, installed equipment details, survey points, serial numbers, or other information that does not fit neatly into standard fields.

• 🎉 Tasks now have dedicated tabs throughout SimplySub. Jobs, customers, equipment, vehicles, contractors, suppliers, and employees can now have their own Tasks tab, giving you quicker access to work associated with a specific record.

• 🎉 Create subtasks and checklists. Tasks can now contain subtasks, making it easier to break larger assignments into smaller steps while keeping everything grouped together.

• Attach files and photos directly to tasks. Upload supporting documentation, images, or other files directly to a task so the information needed to complete or verify the work stays connected to it.

• 🎉 Schedule tasks with a start time and duration. Tasks can now include both a start time and expected duration. A new calendar "DAY" and "WEEK" view also makes it easy to see when scheduled tasks begin and how long they are expected to take.

• 🎉 Manage punch lists from Task Manager. Open and completed punch lists across your jobs can now be viewed from a central area in Task Manager instead of requiring you to open jobs individually.

• 🎉 Log equipment usage with a start/stop timer. Crews can now start a timer when they begin using equipment and stop it when they are finished, making real-time equipment usage tracking much easier in the field.

• Quick Entry makes retroactive equipment logging faster. When equipment usage needs to be entered after the work is complete, the new Quick Entry experience provides a simpler and faster workflow.

• Track equipment service information. Equipment records now include dedicated service details such as service dates, hour and mileage intervals, and current meter information. SimplySub can also use this information to send service reminder emails.

• Track vehicle service information. Vehicle records now include additional service fields such as last service date, next service date, service mileage intervals, and current mileage. Service information can also be used to automatically notify the appropriate contacts when service is due.

• 🎉 Clock in directly from a job. Crews can now clock into a job from the job record itself. They can also switch jobs or move into non-job time such as travel or breaks without first returning to the main Time Clock screen.

• Generate employee time card reports. A new Time Card Report groups time by employee and job and can be exported to PDF, making it easier to create permanent records or printed time cards for employee and supervisor sign-off.

• 🎉 Every job can now have its own automatic Job Number. SimplySub assigns a read-only sequential number when a job is created. You can configure the next number under the Admin Settings --> Jobs module settings, and support can assist if you need historical job numbers adjusted.

• Automatically use the customer address when creating a job. When a job location matches the customer’s address, you can now copy it into the new job instead of entering the same information again.

• A new Profit & Loss Report gives you multiple levels of financial visibility. Review profit and loss information across the company, by customer, or down to an individual job from one straightforward report.

• 🎉 Annotate job photos directly in SimplySub. Add arrows, rectangles, circles, text, freehand markings, and other annotations to uploaded images. This can help clarify jobsite conditions, proposed work, installation locations, and other visual details.

• Download individual files with one click. Files and photos can now be downloaded directly from their actions menu without opening the file first.

• Navigate from a job directly to its customer or contact. New links in the job Details tab make it faster to open the associated customer or customer contact record.

• 🎉 Push notifications are now available. Devices with SimplySub installed can receive supported notifications directly from SimplySub, and tapping a notification can take you to the relevant area of the system. Enable notifications from Profile → Personal Details →  Notifications on each device where you want to receive them.

• Vote on SimplySub product suggestions and ideas. A new Product Suggestions area lets you browse ideas submitted by SimplySub customers and vote for the features you would most like to see. Your votes help us understand which ideas have the most customer interest.

Improved

• 🎉 Customer records have been redesigned. The updated customer experience makes better use of available screen space and provides a cleaner, easier-to-use layout.

• Job assignments can include additional details. When assigning a job, you can now add notes or instructions for the people receiving the assignment. Those details are also included in the assignment notification email.

• Financial records are easier to open from jobs and customers. Financial tabs now include quick-access actions for records such as estimates, invoices, and expenses. For expenses, you can quickly access associated supporting files or receipts.

• 🎉 The Job Progress View loads faster. Behind-the-scenes performance improvements significantly reduce the amount of work required to load the board, helping larger job boards become available more quickly.

• 🔥 GPS tracking can automatically update vehicle mileage. When supported GPS devices report vehicle mileage, SimplySub can now update the vehicle record automatically. That mileage can also help power mileage-based service reminders.

• Time Clock-only users have a smoother login experience. If a user does not have permission to access the Jobs area, SimplySub can now send them directly to the Time Clock instead of first displaying an access-denied screen.

Fixed

• Contractors only see jobs assigned to them in the Time Clock. We corrected an issue that could allow contractor users to see other jobs in the Time Clock job selector. Contractors now only see jobs they have explicitly been assigned to.
